Spectrum

SHG & Artist Residency (Paris, TN) | 2021

  • "Spectrum" is an exhibition born from a deep need for joy as we pass the one-year mark of isolation from COVID-19. In a time marked by the somber tones of the pandemic, curators Pam Marlene Taylor and Kaylen Buteyn were compelled to offer a visual respite—a celebration of vibrancy in the form of this exhibition. Utilizing the color spectrum, works in the colors red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, and pink were selected and exhibited in a range throughout the house-gallery and residency. Purposefully set in a domestic space, artists coming here to create in continued isolation could travel from room to room to experience moments of brightness in a gray year.
